This was fast on its way to becoming one of my favorite Elton John songs but god what was Bernie doing here?
I understand the context and intent behind the harsher terms being used near the middle-point of the track, but under zero circumstance does Elton need use the term “gook”. It’s just like.. have some foresight man.
Otherwise this is a fucking PHENOMENAL track and album closer.
