Ripe (With Decay) isn't necessarily a bad piece of music but it does leave The Fragile ending on low note. Compared with the rest of the album Ripe feels lackluster and is most likely what most would judge as the weakest track. But maybe that is the point Trent is making with this song. That even the most beautiful things go out with a whimper and give way to the sounds of decay.
