Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.5/100, a mean average of 86.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 16.7.

Is it objectively a good song? Yes. Is it overplayed to the extreme? Also yes. I think nerdy kids thinking they’re cool with an acoustic ruined it. But to the point where people hate on Oasis because of it? No. The rest of the album is great, but I can’t stand this song.
I don't care too much for it nowadays, but it's been one of my most listened to songs.
On my bottom-list. One boring son of...that wouldn't leave my head for years.

Okay, it's Wonderwall, but I think it gets a bad rep just because it's extremely popular. It's a very sweet song but shouldn't be considered Oasis' best.
A definite classic, but it's not on par with many of their other songs. Not as good as air play has made it out to be.
Undoubtedly one of the most overplayed songs ever and memed to death, but a classic.
I like it.

Undoubtedly one of the best guitar riffs of all time. Beautifully written and perfectly performed. I don't think there is even an inflection of a pick stroke that I'd change.
I don't care much for Liam's vocals though. The lyrics are about the most you can ask for from an Oasis song: passable.
