Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 20% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 77.6/100, a mean average of 76.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 15.2.

Not keen on the fact that so many covers appear on this album at this stage in their career. That said this cover of the well known Chuck Berry number really does rock.

This is unforgettable. I heard this in 1964 and still it has the same punch. John's voice is amazing...

In my opinion this is the greatest of all the songs the Beatles covered. It's so full of passion and energy and John Lennon gives his absolute all. It's without doubt the best ever version of this song. Some people may go for, twist and shout, as the best fab four cover, and I certainly wouldn't argue against that, but for me it's this rollicking version of Chuck Berry's classic track that wins hands down.
