Alongside, and your bird can sing, and, tomorrow never knows, I'm only sleeping, is another of John Lennon's masterpieces on Revolver. The drony music and drowsy vocals are absolutely perfect for the lyrics and the song is brilliantly executed. The backwards guitars are the icing on the cake. One of the best songs on an album full of great ones. (Edited)
John was great at writing songs that seemed simple on the surface, but somehow struck a hidden chord. This is one of the best examples. The verse melody consists almost entirely of a single note, yet the song sweeps you away into a dreamscape. (Edited)

I'm really glad I'm not the only one on here who thinks this track is gold. "I'm Only Sleeping" is The Beatles' best LP cut of all time. (Edited)
