Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 86.5/100, a mean average of 85.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.9.

That opening riff and the loose, jammy feel they are crushing it with feels possibly up to 40 years ahead of its time.
I understand this track not being for everyone, but I think it’s quite the recording.
It is a trip - more akin to what they were doing live at that time
Pink Floyd is my favorite band, but I've never been able to get into this one. Those first two minutes are just sublime. It's the other seven I don't care for.

Probably the best psychedelic song ever made. Wonderful trip!
What the actual fuck just happened?!
Insane instrumental during the short lived Barrett Pink Floyd era

A trip across the universe. Incredible orgasmic musical track.

A complete trip! THIS is what I think space would and should sound like.
