Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 6% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.7/100, a mean average of 75.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.3.

I agree with your comment, although I love most of what is there. Bummer about what isn't.
A disappointing compilation in the fact that if this is a sort of mopping up album like The Beatles Past masters, which would be the right and sensible thing to do, then where is, apples and oranges, and, biding my time, and other tracks? If you are going to do something like this then, at least for the fans sake, do it properly. As it is we're left with a decent album, but there's too many songs not included. Why not all Pink Floyd songs between 67-72 not on any proper studio albums? Instead of that we get pointless 2016 remixes of a few tracks from, Obscured by clouds. Why? Nothing's ever perfect, is it? There's always some record company halfwit who has to make inexplicable decisions that just completely astounds fans. Yes, i know there's a 26 disc version and those tracks are probably included in there somewhere, but i can't afford £400, so now i'll have to download the one's i want. Still, what we do have on the 2 disc version is good but it just should have been more fan friendly.
