Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 85.7/100, a mean average of 84.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.1/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.1.

After the rather disappointing Blue Condition this is more like it. Classic heavy blues / Harder rock Cream with a large chunk of psychedelia thrown in for good measure

The band feel energised on this track. Really into it in a big way and Gingers pounding drums are fantastic.

Apparently Clapton composed the music, inspired by the Lovin' Spoonful's "Summer in the City". You can totally hear that connection. Also, Eric used a wah-wah pedal guitar effects unit for the first time which I wasn’t aware of until I read up on the track.

Brilliant guitar riff - and don't overlook those symbols. Think this stands the test of time

Wow, I just love this song. The bass intro, the wah wah pedal, the drums and Jack Bruce's vocals. This song just really works and I think it is their best song on the entire album.

One of the many Disraeli Gears highlights, this is the first time Clapton really discovered and used the wah-wah pedal.

The wah pedal does wonders here.
