The first great power trio shines even more as heard from the live albums.
Very underrated these days....classic blues rock....

Great, seminal late sixties hard rock band. Like Hendrix, just a few original studio albums, all great.
It's sad to see that Cream is starting to slip out of the more known artists on this website. They pioneered psychedelic rock, the power trio format, drum solos, among other things. Some of the greatest guitar music in the world came from Clapton from these years.

Pioners.
One of the most important bands of the 60s. They made the blues heavier and inspired countless bands later in the decade, including Rush.
new way to feel the blues, all bands after them have some influences from them, pioneers!!
Have to agree that Cream maybe overrated. Their sound is often muddy and the recordings are purely produced - Sorry Felix - a bit more light and shade would have helped
Given the talent in the group I don;t think that the whole is as good as the sum of the parts
Important in the development of rock music but could have been so much more
