I'm giving this song a higher rating than anyone else on BEA, and I think that's indicative of my overall feeling about The Silver Gymnasium, which I think is an incredibly underrated record. "It Was My Season" is another track in Will Sheff's nostalgic mode on the album, and it evokes life in rural New England in the eighties with absolute brilliance and precision.
