Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.1/100, a mean average of 90.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 10.5.

I like this song - the production is good and I like it's sparseness. I particularly like the Oooohing backing vocals. I agree some of the poetic lyrics are a bit mmmmh. Just read that he was a bit unhappy with the orchestration which he felt was overblown - not on my version - it's good and subtle

A nice tune, no doubt, but the lyrics are pseudo art.
For you've touched her perfect body with your mind. Really?
And Jesus was a sailor when he walked upon the water. – To my simple mind, he was no sailor at all. Just an on-water-walker.
When I first heard this I had to turn off my media player because any other song would sound horrible after listening to this.

One of Cohen's best tracks, showcasing some of the finest songwriting of all time. It's made more powerful by the sparseness of the music behind it.
Beautiful
