Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.7/100, a mean average of 90.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 92.2/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.3.

A masterpiece. And I love the lyrics. "I'll keep digging til I feel something" 100/100
This is easily the most straight forward song I've heard from this band. This song has a really gritty and dirty vibe, which I guess makes sense given the subject. I'm not really sure how I feel about the vocal delivery on the verses, it kinda feels a little weak? Maybe that's what they were going for but it doesnt really sound good to me. idk, this song is kinda hit or miss for me. Im not really sure why this is their second highest rated track here.
I changed my mind, this song is great
One of the best hooks Tool ever wrote. Undeniably a great opener.
Progressive alternative metal is it?
Absolutely brilliant, another incendiary masterpiece from Tool.
this song is just brilliant from start to finish
