Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 85.1/100, a mean average of 84.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.5.

A typical Genesis epic. Gabriel does some great work playing all these different characters. The music paints a great picture too. My brain says it's close to perfect. My heart doesn't agree.

Badass track. The verses feature one of the punchiest keyboard riffs in the entire Genesis discography, paired perfectly with Collins' relentless percussion and Gabriel's sneering vocals. The hushed bridges driven by Hackett's 12-string that eventually build back up into the verses complement those verses very well. I have to mention the lyrics too: a scorching criticism of the crooked landlords of England in the 1970s. Unfortunately it loses a little too much steam in the second half when the tempo slows and the tone mellows, as it takes a little too long to reprise to those kickass first four minutes, but, god damn, it feels good when it finally does. Those first four minutes are four of the best that Genesis ever recorded. Pretty heavenly outro too. An underrated beast of a song.
