Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track has a Bayesian average rating of 76.4/100, a mean average of 76.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 24.0.

Came back to amend by pitiful previous comment. This is indeed one of the best moments in pop history. Palette cleansing opening seconds give way to some of the most iconic riffs and lyrics of the decade, all dowsed in gorgeous mid-2010s nostalgia. Chorus does the numbers. Too many relationships, flings and crushes to count where I've listened to this and drawn something new from it. Who the fuck am I kidding?
Love it or hate it, this song has found its way onto Rolling Stones' 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
Personally, I'm quite happy to see that. This was the song in which Taylor Swift embraced the personality foisted onto her and reclaimed the narrative for herself. If there was a turning point in her career, it was the release of this song as a single.

Definitley the strong point from the album. An incredibly competent pop ditty.
One of the best pop songs in recent history, so so good!

It's so catchy and addicting, it's not even fair.

I think it's a very fun single to listen to.
