I generally place Mike Cooley's contributions to Drive-By Truckers albums a notch below those of Patterson Hood and Jason Isbell. But this is one of Cooley's best. I love the line in which Cooley refers to a Grammy Award as a "gold-plated paperweight." Not sure if Drive-By Truckers will ever be mainstream enough to win one themselves, but I doubt they care.
