Thanks.
Usually Naples, you like to use wikipedia to state your facts. O.K. this time I will.
These are the GDP nation totals for 2010 according to the I.M.F. ($Million)
USA ---- $14,624,184
CHINA - $10,084,369
This is the I.M.F. projection. You do trust the I.M.F. numbers don't you Naples.

I see what you are pointing out and you are correct Naples. I was going by PPP because it gives a more accurate depiction of quality of life in a nation.
But you were using nominal, which is what really matters in terms of the economic power of a nation as a whole.
I should have clarified that I was using real GDP not GDP nominal.
Thanks Naples. _________________ .

It's interesting although again, it's a depiction of the personal wealth of the average citizen of China. That is where I got off track a bit. I was trying to show the total wealth of China as a nation. The reason for that was mainly to show how much they had in the till to potentially spend on their military. That is important IMO because, as I previously posted, China has been doubling it's military expenitures, as a % of GDP every year for the last ten years.
Yes it's interesting, I love learning about other nations, and the world. _________________ .

referring to the linear extrapolations graph: linear extrapolations are the most basic, and therefore usually the worst, functions to model anything by unless it's actually linear... and China's rise to power is not linear

Well, all I can say is. If the United States is so rich then why did we borrow over $1,000,000,000,000 from them. I don't need a graph to realize SOMETHING just isn't right about that. _________________ .

Because they have to pay for Obamacare. But that is another thread that maybe you could start Naples.
Are you sure that you are not a closet democrat Naples
Because they like to change the subject, call people crazy, never give you a direct response to a question (even if it's yes or no) and my personla favorite tactic of there's, and apparently your's also, is.
