Okay so Ive been toying with an idea for awhile but since it's a bit... perhaps controversial... Ive been hesitant but Im going to give it a try. Basically a "roast" is a longtime american comedy tradition where they bring out a beloved entertainer and have a specifically chosen dais of friends and fellow performers who rib him/her individually and then they get the final say by roasting the rest of dais at the end and delivering a touching-yet-sardonic farewell. It's all great fun, and most of the past Friar Club's roast can be looked up on youtube or the like. Now I know this may seem like this is just a way to trash certain users, but absolutely not, the golden rule is you only roast the one you love, and anything that looks like vicious personal attacks rather than good nature ribbing will not be tolerated. It really can be great fun and if one is willing to take a joke and fire one back, it's even more fun to participate in. So basically the setup is a user is "chosen" to be roasted, they get to choose the dais (anywhere from 5-15 users, perhaps some more cameos too), and only those on the dais can be targeted or involved in the "roasting". So if you don't want to do it or be involved in any way, you won't have to worry about roasters firing shots your way. And everything has to stay within BEA rules yada yada so nothing too obscene or verging on character attacks. There will be one roastmaster to give the opening statement, introduce the users on the dais and close out the night spectacularly. There will be an order to who goes when, so they can submit their roast via PM or post after their preceding user, but no cutting as that will earn a roast ban (grrrr religion-of-the-queue). Also be creative with how you present your roast, hell if you wanna present it via Youtube clip by all means feel free. All in all, it's a celebration, not a mockery, so all those willing to be involved say I or....


In all honesty I think Lethal, Jher Bear or Kool Keith Sweat would be best for an initial roast, cuz this is when the roast can be at it's most unhinged cuz don't worry no matter how hard you roast them they will prairie-fire your ass back, so no need to worry about offending the man/woman of the hour. But if you think you or somebody else is worthy of the hot seat, then by all means speak up. Anyways, let's see how long this thread lasts.

This seems pretty cool saoirse, not sure if it will work how it is all planed, so I will not do it for a while until I have a first roast, and see how this goes, hope I can do later. but it's sounding great.

I think the initial roast will kind of be a showing-how-it-works affair, so it will likely be our good friend Jhereko who will be our first roastee and Ill take care of roastmaster duties. From then on the potential roastes will be nominated and the winner gets to choose his or her roastmaster and I donno a special theme if he likes. If a user wants to be part of a dais he can submit his name for consideration, though the roastee gets the final say who gets the oppurtunity to roast them. All those on the dais have to give their okay though before being put on, as it is afterall serious buisness. So if you want a future user to be put into consideration for being a roastee (don't nominate you) or if you have interest in being part of a dais, by all means post your wish in this thread and your nomination will go on the big list.


But for now, it looks like Jhereko will be the one that loses BEA's roasting virginity, though his demands are a king's ransom (NO DINGO OR KANGAROO JOKES, THAT'S APPALLING!!!!). Lethal and Keith might be a little too extreme, it's important to get experienced first in order to be prepared. He should be posting his list eventually of people he wishes to roast his sexy ass, so watch out

I'd love to assist in the roasting, though I fear the quality of my comic statements may be lacking.

However, for a future roastee, I can hardly think of anyone better than Saoirse. After Jhereko has been done, naturally.
