Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.4/100, a mean average of 67.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 25.0.

Once you get past her brusque sexual explicitness, there is a real charm to CupcakKe’s candour and breakneck delivery. The way she juxtaposes serious subjects with incredibly catchy hooks is quite admirable, and in amongst all the bravura on Queen Elizabitch are some very direct appeals to the heart. And she’s only twenty!
After only hearing "Deepthroat", I went in expecting a load of funny, hugely-sexualised tracks with not much quality to them.. but boy was I wrong. For starters, CupcakKe can spit bars; the flow & delivery were both on point throughout the LP.
"Queen Elizabitch" itself is compellingly structured: opening track "Scraps" took me by surprise with its impressive lyrical content about poverty and although there are several hilarious sexual tracks, they're all personal & are interspersed with tracks dealing with serious situations. Overall, every track has something going for it (the standout being "Biggie Smalls") and "Queen Elizabitch" turns out to be an eclectic, confessional & catchy rap album that's definitely worth anyone's time.
The best dirty rap album of 2017. Cupcakke could easily be rap royalty, and I see her becoming just that in a few years.
