Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. It's just so pretentious
This album was a good listen and really got me into AJR but I will agree that it is not perfect. This does leave me interested in their next album which I believe will be better than this one.

I kinda like this one. It's not perfect and I see why a lot of people aren't fans, but I don't know I kinda like it.
So, I know a lot of people detest this album BUT I can't lie, I do enjoy a good amount of this album. Sometimes I just want to listen to something that will get stuck in my head and this does the job perfectly. So.. Yea.. I like this album.
Yeah this is one of those records that just reeks of 2016/2017 pop music that fells like it is meaningful but just is bland. Hell I remember hearing I'm not Famous as well as Weak. And it falls in the same bucket as Jon Bellion. Thinking it is ahead the curve but is so safe. And will end up playing at your local retail store that wants to keep a squeaky clean image.
