Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. I missed them at the time and only caught this in 2021 having never heard a thing of there's - but took an instant shine to them. Favs - Night Of The Long Knives; Desire; Good Shot, Good Soldier; Run The Numbers; Put Me Together; White Whale
As always with Everything Everything, there are some really catchy tunes on this album. I have it slightly below their previous album Get To Heaven. Half the album is fantastic, but there a few forgettable tracks on this one (New Deep, Ivory Tower, Big Game) that bring the overall score down. My highlights are Can't Do (can't believe this one didn't become more popular), Night of The Long Knives, Run The Numbers, A Fever Dream and Put Me Together.
