Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.4/100, a mean average of 72.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 11.0.

Band reminds me of a mix of Incubus and older Tame Impala in terms of instrumentation. Singing is used very sparingly bordering on instrumental. A solid album but I don't think I would play it again anytime soon.
Favorite song is: Lazy Boy and the Temple of Wonders.
As it is only the 9th of January, I can confidently say that this is the best album of the year so far.
The prodcution on the this album is incredibly lush, the tone of the guitars are excellent also. The album contains lengthy instrumental passages which means that at times the songs, which are all over six minutes can drag ever so slightly. The singing when it does arrive can be slightly uninspiring and boring, as well as being drowned by the rest of the sounds being made.
The band remind me slightly of the band Dorje, not particular sure why. Also, at times the band sound as if they are trying their best to show off their skill as musicians and how fast they can play, rather than serving the song.
