Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.5/100, a mean average of 71.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.6.

A really solid album with southern soul. Check out a good interview with the artist here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q5Pxp1zYuA

On his third album, he has found a nice blend of Southern Americana and 70s West Coast singer-songwriter. The result is something like a blend of Nick Drake and Fleet Foxes. There's a languid quality to this record that allows you to just sink into it.
Very strong album reminiscent of early Ray Lamontagne with some hints of Nick Drake for good measure. An artist to watch.

Reminds me a bit of the Eagles :)
After listening to the title track a few times it got me curious. After a closer look, I found that I really enjoy this entire album. I recommend "Cautionary Tale" "Easy Way Out" and "Lightning and Thunder" ^^
Right place, right time for this listen (6:30 am, rainy Portland OR). Has a lot of soul and easy to listen to. Looking deeper, Leblanc had his music upbringing from Louisiana bars watching his father play. You can hear some blues taking this into account. Good listen.
Favorite Tracks: Cautionary Tale, Beyond the Veil
Pleasant folk/Americana in the vein of Jason Isbell. I had been looking forward to this for some time and I'm quite happy to say that LeBlanc did not disappoint.
Track Picks- First 4 tracks, Beyond the Veil
