Thanks for your comment. The chart is the top 75 albums of the 1950s not the roots of rock. Nevertheless you will find Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Howlin' Wolf, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Marty Robbins, Tito Puente, Bo Diddley, Louis Prima, Anita O'Day, Dinah Washington, Mahalia Jackson, Harry Belafonte, June Christie, Mario Lanza, etc. Not exactly all jazz.
A fantastic Jazz chart... I could learn a thing or two from you. However, where`s the roots of rock? I see no Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, etc... Overshadowed by the jazz?
