Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.3/100, a mean average of 90.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 92.3/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.9.

God damn. I've loved this tune quite literally for as long as I can remember (I was 3 when my Dad first introduced me to New Order and I've never looked back). Like with all of their greatest works, there are so many awesome mixes of Bizarre Love Triangle, but it's the Extended Dance Cut with its razor sharp synth interjections, vocaloid finale and unbridled sense of euphoria that tops the lot.
It's made even better by its positioning as the penultimate tune on side 1 of Substance, arriving like a carnival finale to close out what is without a shadow of a doubt one of the single greatest albums ever released in my books (currently no. 8 on my Top 100 list, and that ain't changing any time soon).
It's crazy to think that New Order's discography is of such a high calibre and quality that even within the best tunes they've released, there's almost a hierarchy there simply because of *how* good their absolute best stuff is. Be under no doubt that Bizarre Love Triangle is in the highest tier conceivable for them in my books, alongside Blue Monday and Ceremony. Music does not get better than this.
