Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.5/100, a mean average of 90.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.0.

Based on the 1969 Bob Seger classic, "2 + 2 = ?", which Jack White said was his favorite song in an interview with Stephen Colbert.
You really can’t go wrong with this song, it easily stands the test of time!
The best song of the past 25 years.
Overplayed, but still a really great song that's become a classic.
It's incredibly overplayed, but good enough that nobody should mind.
The best riff in years!
So much has been said about this song... One of the few tracks since 2000 which matched the level of old rock classics. It's the level of "Satisfaction", "Smoke on the Water" and "God Save the Queen", I believe.
One of the best songs of the century so far
Best song of the century
Everyone is right...it's the riff that makes the song. Powerful stuff. Heavy. Catchy. Great lyrics. Perfection.
