Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track has a Bayesian average rating of 75.9/100, a mean average of 75.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.8/100. The standard deviation for this track is 24.0.

Pure beauty. It is so strange how a song so beautiful, so crisp, so lush is added to this grindcore album. It's like the pinnacle of all things music in one perfect song. This isn't just your run the mill album closer. This is revolutionary– game-changing. This is surely an important milestone in music history.

Excellent layering through the introduction. The transition into the exposition and first verse is well planned and delicately intricate. Wonderful depth and great execution in the choruses and the first interlude. Bu the time it comes to the second movement you're already in tears. Then the bridge comes in and the second interlude of the third movement comes in with that layered chunky riff.
Pure genius as the accompaniment of the many voices rings out with the guitar harmonies. By the ninth movement and the finale you can't help but bow in reverence. The outro leaves you devastated and wanting more. Great composition.
