That walk-up is somewhat clearly an homage to a.. certain.. other Herbie staple. But I’ll be damned if it’s not repurposed in spectacular fashion and for an undeniably fat groove.
Add to that Stevie Wonder giving one of his most unique recorded harmonica solos. This is a pretty awesome track.
