2.) Create a second daily album, maybe call it International Album of the day. The quirk is that the following countries are excluded: USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia (top 5 countries on overall chart).
Would add a more worldly flavor. More exposure to some of the other 190 or so countries. Something new, something interesting I hope.
I like the idea and am prepared to give it a whirl for a few days to see what comes up, but it probably won't start happening until next week.

Dunno if you'll be able to stream this in Canada, but I imagine you'd enjoy this radio programme. Lots of jazz, world, funk/soul, hip-hop, experimental electronica. Plus the presenter is just a really nice guy. Figured I'd post it here given he particularly puts an emphasis on international music.
What about of the Week? Since there's clearly a fraction of the number being entered as there is from the big 5 you mentioned it may not warrant being every day...or is that too long a wait?
^ I think a better alternative would be to soften the criteria (for 'World' AOTD) a bit so more albums can qualify. At least enough for a year or however many days until an album can re-enter this version of AOTD.
