Good artists that aren't mentioned often/are overshadowed

Basically, I'm making this thread about artists that are generally thought of as good, but don't get mentioned as often as some of their peers or are overshadowed. O don't mean unknown artists, they could be legends, but just aren't mentioned in comparison to let's say the beatles or bands that are always talked about. My list: Stevie Wonder Chuck Berry B.B. King Husker Du At The drive in etc. I guess as a bonus topic, why are these guys overshadowed?

Butch Walker IMO is by far the most underrated singer/songwriter of the modern era. So much so that i doubt anyone in this treat will know who he is. A great rock singer that is one of the few who have never released a bad album

Also Barenaked Ladies are not taken seriously enough, easily one of the best pop rock bands of the last 20 years. 'Call and Answer', 'War on Drugs' and 'Break Your Heart' are brilliant serious songs
