Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 80.4/100, a mean average of 80.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 81.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.5.

Kummallinen albumi, jota en ole koskaan ennen kuullut. Todeall hieno kokoelma genrejä samalle tuotteelle on oikkeuksellista. A hidden and mostly forgotten gem for most of the Western Music world.

To be honest, this is the first argentine album I've ever heard and I'm pretty surprised.
Best tracks: Laura Va, Muchacha & Plegaria Para un Niño Dormido.

Nowadays Almendra is considered a masterpiece (at least in its native Argentina), but back when it came out in 1969 it was seen as an oddity. Their Beatlesque sound and lyrics fused foreign influences like jazz and European avant-garde movements with more local inspirations like tango, Argentine folk music and the writings of Cortázar and Borges. This eclectic and unprejudiced fusion was seen as rebellious and edgy but it's also the reason Almendra remains sonically relevant til these days.

Despite the rather shitty sound quality, this spectacular set of songs doesn't lose its magic. If anything, it kinda adds to a certain aura of innocence some of the songs radiate. Like an old music box. But don't get the wrong idea: these guys sure know how to rock. The head-bangin' 'Color humano' is as acid, if not more, than contemporary rock acts like Big Brother and the Holding Company and Jefferson Airplane.
