Revolution 9 on the white album. Some people say it's "edgy" or 'out-there", but if you think about, it's just a bunch of random crap played backwards. It kills the album for me.

I love it. And not because it's "edgy" or "out-there" but because it's entertaining and really gets my attention. At times it even terrifies me. I can't imagine skipping that track when listening to that album. Actually, starting with Rubber Soul and going through the rest of their discography, the only track I can think of that I skip when listening to The Beatles is Yellow Submarine.

I wasn't too fond of the fourth track on Point of Know Return.

The thing I dislike about Revolution 9 is that it shows just how distorted the views of the music community can be. When the beatles do something odd such as revolution 9, it's well respected and acclaimed, while other bands (can't think of any examples on the spot), do not get the same amount of respect and acclaim when they experiment in similar affairs. Is it the beatles fault? Nah, just the music community's.

For me Revolution 9 is a wtf moment but doesn't ruin the album.

However, on the third or so listen of the song it was really catchy and I loved it, now it's just a bit of same old same old.

How is R9 "well respected and acclaimed"?
