Thanks for your answers about Boards Of Canada ๐Ÿ˜

Frogger, I've actually already listened to the Daft Punk, LCD and Kraftwerk albums, and I indeed love them. I'll be sure to check out the other two then ๐Ÿ˜„

I've also added your album to my to-listen-to list, cattlest, and I'll tell you what I think about it ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've just listened to

Heart Of The Congos by The Congos

I didn't remember it to be so bizarre. It's really one of the most unique reggae albums I know. It's pretty abstract for reggae, actually. I didn't like it that much this time ๐Ÿ˜• It's definitely of of the most interesting pieces of music from the genre, but it just wasn't as enjoyable as I remembered. I'll remove it from my chart on the next update. Still, it's a very good record, but I would have enjoyed it much more with less echo, and more traditional arrangements, maybe.

Listening to Daft Punk for the first time ever. I'm about half way through the Random Access Memories album and really enjoying it ๐Ÿ˜„

Nadine Shah, Love Your Dum and Mad (2013)

Will remind you of early PJ Harvey. I'm just at the beginning, pretty good start.

Listen To Nebukadnezar by Moveknowledgement
Probably one of the better slovenian releases. Not sure how I would even categorize the band's music, I guess it's some sort of a mix between hip hop, rock, dub.. And I guess a few other things. Good stuff.

I'm listening to Duke by Genesis. In my opinion, it's a very underrated album. Sure, it may be a bit pretentious and generic, but it perfectly blended the "pop" Genesis and the classic Genesis. It's a well-constructed concept album, too, and Phil Collins' vocals are honestly better than they were on A Trick of the Tail. It definitely deserves more recognition than Invisible Touch, and is the last truly great Genesis album. The ones that came after were all decent, though.

Excitable Boy by Warren Zevon

First listen. Absolutely stunning. I might like it even more than his self-titled, which was already pretty great. Laying under the blue sky on my last day of holidays here in Charente while listening to this is priceless. Wish it never ended.

Be sure to listen to the other albums. Next two albums have a few more stronger songs than this one.

Um...I don't know about that. The one BEFORE this is about as close as it gets to the quality of Excitable Boy, but the next two, Bad Luck Streak In Dancing School and The Envoy, while very good, don't have the consistency or strength of this. Side one of Excitable Boy is as strong as you'll find anywhere....this album should be rated much higher than it is.

It's a great day in life when you first discover how great Zevon really was.
