I'll take the songs on this album over their studio versions any day.

One of my favorite live albums

Are y'all commenting based on the original release or the more complete Legacy edition? I haven't heard the latter, but am wondering whether it's worth checking out.

The 1999 re-release is my favorite, especially because of the inclusion of "John Henry". The Legacy edition is kind of interesting because it has the whole thing, even the introductions and the opening songs by Carl Perkins and the Statler Brothers. Because it is so unedited, the energy of the album lags more but it sheds new light on the performance. I would recommend it more as a historical collection or if you just can't get enough of Folsom, but it is not as enjoyable as the shortened versions.

Sounds like great advice, thanks for the response!
