I changed up my overall chart even more. It's kind of exciting. I just threw albums that I really love and am obsessed with NOW rather than favoring only records that I've loved for longer periods. It's a closer reflection of what I think is good.
I'm pretty interested in what BEA regular's thoughts are and if there are any big time recommendations that you think are perfect for me based off all the new additions.
My comments re lacking in large portions. That may be a bad or good thing depending on the person and the comments for the albums. It makes for a little sloppy looking of a chart is all that bothers me about it. _________________ -Ryan

I've been doing this ever since I started my chart back up in September. I find it to be a much fairer (and more enjoyable) approach to chart-making. Not to mention it makes your chart a lot more interesting for others to browse.

Since I started the music history project, my overall chart has become a jumbled mess. I'm in the awkward position where now more than half of the albums I've heard in my life were in the last year and I'm having to weigh them against sentimental favorites that I've been listening to for a decade or more. What's worse, most of the recent discoveries are pre-1970, so my overall was developing a weird chronological bias.
Long story short, goodbye overall chart, at least for the time being. Gonna focus my energies on the year and decade charts.
Well, if it makes you feel any better I knew about most of the stuff on that chart and most of it wasn't that weird.
Clearly you've not heard Nattvittje 😜 Seriously that is the most mental album I've ever heard. Ever. Still, cool someone else knows some of that stuff. I mean, White Lies, Dr Dog, some of the others aren't that weird. But Charlie Nobles, Photographers, Tan Vampires, Family of the Year, Mikael Karlsson, etc are a little more obscure. _________________
