Give me recommendations! I probably won't write about everything that I listen to. Most of these write ups will just be ramblings that come to mind whilst listening to whatever I'm listening to. side note: apparently on my old account i was super fake and enigmatic, let's try to change that here :) Home, Like Noplace Is There by The Hotelier Along with Whenever, If Ever, this album has really brought the whole spirit of the Midwest Emo scene to life for me. These albums make me feel like I want to be with people and not in this solitary, self-centered mindset that I often have. When I'm not listening to new albums or Drake, I'm usually listening to albums from this area of music. Nothing from 2014 really hit as hard as this: "So if I call, should I beg? Because I'm desperate here; a couple steps from the edge. I can't seem to burn bright enough. I'm cold and I'm left alone. We're all alone. Grab a hold. I know I said to not. What the fuck do I know? I had a chance to construct something beautiful and I choked." I'm not one to really be into lyrics all that much, but when someone can write lyrics that bring me to a land called nostalgia, it starts to "make sense". Everything about the emotion poured into and out of this album is just raw. The dynamic contrast is great, the aesthetic fits, and everything else. I couldn't really pick a favorite track, but if I had to give someone a place to start I would pick "Among The Wildflowers" due to how beautiful the delivery is. "Dissociate from touch. You’re tilting to pull the others with you. Posed shakespearean skull, we see in different pictures. You play the imperial stealing the power to waste away. You took the comfort from the lights in her soul. Projected map of the body: it's crass, abject, colonial. You passed dis-ease presented to you at birth. Held underwater told to scream your self worth. It wasn’t good enough. Entrust the secrets to the backs of your arms. Killing the self as to protect it from harm." It's always nice to let your emotions out to an album.

The Night Creeper by Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats

which is my favorite UAxTB project to date, fun heavy psych/doom metal

Avatarium's The Girl With The Raven Mask which is better than their previous work, definitely keeping an eye out for their next release, doom metal

Act IV: Rebirth In Reprise by The Dear Hunter

Extremely pretty x progressive indie rock, definitely an enjoyable listen, reminds me of early fun. mixed with riverside

Until All The Ghosts Are Gone by Anekdoten

interesting and symphonic progressive rock, good album

I Forget Where We Were by Ben Howard

One of the best albums I've ever listened to. MY GOSH, what a first-listen. The songwriting is incredible, the lyrics are solid, his voice is cute, and the atmosphere is great. Added it to my overall, can definitely see it rising in the future. 10/10

Hot Dreams by Timber Timbre

SHOUTS TO MECCA, I've put this album off since it came out, but I remember Mecca posting about it. Extremely happy that I finally peeped it.

Walking On A Flashlight Beam by Lunatic Soul which is a great art rock album that reminds me of being at the hospital, which is a memory that i love. Hospitals are oddly comforting for me.

Now I'm listening to an album by one of my favorite artists, Kayo Dot!
