I'm not a fan of Mike Patton. His sound in Faith No More represents all the things that bug me about nineties alt-metal, and his superfans tend to be overgrown fourteen-year-old boys that think serial killer clowns are "edgy" and "cool" (one of them once told me that "circus metal is the best kind of music").
Mr. Bungle has a lot of great things about it, however. This is my least favorite of the main trilogy (the self-titled is my personal fave), but the Zappa-isms really feel earned here. I really should listen to this again.
