for anyone who might be interested in hearing the "new" Brand New release, it's up over on Soundcloud. it's a lot more Morrissey than the work they're typically associated with, and I recommend it pretty highly.

The Leaked Demos leaked. Of course.
Anyways, yeah, this is pretty damn cool. Some more significant improvements on some tracks than I was expecting, though they barely touched this version of Yeah (Sowing Season). I think this version of Fork and Knife is the same as the one that was already released? I'll need to relisten to each. That being said, is this the version of Brothers from the Jesus single? Don't own that single and it's sort of hard to find. 1996 is definitely really Morrissey-esque, I think that may have been the direction this album was headed before it was leaked, if you check out some of the live versions of the stuff of Deja from around that time, especially from TV performances, Jesse tries super hard to sound like Morrissey. Interesting to see what could have been if TDAG wasn't. My tape is still in the mail, can't wait to check this out though. _________________

oh, the fork & knife is the original version -- not the previously released version with the "wolf is in your kitchen" bit. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

I recently got the latest Micachu and the Shapes, Good Sad Happy Bad and can't stop playing it. It's another set of abstraction/experimental 2-minute pop distortions that charmed me with their first record, Jewellery, back in 2009. Great stuff, very fun to listen to, and will probably make my top 5 this year. _________________ Always shouts out something obscene

So apparently Busta Rhymes dropped the sequel to The Dragon and The Abstract at the end of 2015 but it's gotten surprisingly little press or attention. Haven't seen anyone mention it here, not even on his Wikipedia discography, but features everyone - DOOM, Chance, Jadakis, Raekwon, Mary J Blige, Sean Paul, Wizard Khalifa, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, and others. The skits are kind of long and not that funny or interesting but the album itself is kinda great _________________
