sorry, i have trouble picking 1:
George: All Things Must Pass / Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)
John: Maybe I'm Amazed, Band On The Run ... (though With A Little Luck & Listen to What the Man Said are hard not to sing along to)
Paul: #9 Dream / Watching The Wheels
Ringo: Photograph / It Don't Come Easy

You're the first person who came close to matching my choices. I was going to pick give me love for George Harrison but then I went with what is life and Dark Horse instead. But I like all three equally

Although maybe Dark Horse should have been called Dark HOARSE, because his voice sounds so hoarse it sounds like he's got laryngitis. Lmao. I still love that song tho.

I've not read the whole thread here but if this hasn't been said its worth saying. Ringo made a decent album. Really.

Yep. Plus "Times takes time", at least. I've also a soft spot for "Ringorama".

Paul Mccartney- Secret Friend

Just discovered this gem. I'm OK with this choice, even over Maybe I'm Amazed or something off Ram.

Semi hot take: Secret Friend might be the best Post Beatles track period. McCartney II is good. You know John wanted to work with him again after he released this record.

John: #9 Dream
George: I'd Have You Anytime
Ringo: maybe Photograph, I have to explore his discography more first
Paul: Secret Friend, something off Ram, Maybe I'm Amazed or Jet

The solo Beatles produced some good Christmas songs in the 70s:

John - Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
George - Ding Dong Ding Dong
Paul Wonderful Christmastime

Maybe a bit early for Christmas songs, funny they had loads of Christmas number ones as Beatles (at least in UK), but it wasn't till they split up that they did Christmas songs.

I love that Paul McCartney one. It goes.... " we're simply having a Wonderful Christmastime". I love singing it.

I love it too, it's such a simple melody but it's cheerful. It's my sister's favourite Christmas song.

my favourite too. That synth note in the background adds a touch of nostalgia. Wonderful simplicity.
(De La Soul made an interesting rap cover, sampling the synth: "Simply" (2001))
But I agree with Stover75: let's keep all that for Christmas. Too early.

It's never too early. Just a couple weeks ago I posted something about Rockin Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee. Never too early talk about that, the greatest Christmas song ever

Wonderful Christmas time is awesome too.
