THE band started to share song writing duties. so, when Vedder starts to sing some of the other players tunes,
he seems to be dialing in his own performance. it just doesn't come off as fantastic as their early stuff.

also, i think vedders voice is mixed too low on most of Yields songs.
almost as if he appeared on the album grudgingly.

3/5.

This is underrated in the PJ canon. Given to Fly is a uniquely mature Vedder offering. Wishlist, No Way and that delicious closer All those Yesterdays all make this eminently listenable -- but what puts this over the top is that amazing vocal performance on that great rock song, In Hiding. This album, Vitalogy and Backspacer are the 2nd tier of PJ greatness.

This is their best album for me, and its not really a contest. Do the Evolution, Wishlist, Brain of J, and No Way ate my favorites.

Wishlist is such an unusually sweet song for them, but it's absolutely wonderful.
