The album where Lynne got the mix between rock and strings just right. The album where his level of musicianship and his production skills were even. Alongside A New World Record as the best ELO album. Better than Out Of The Blue. And infinitely better than anything after Out Of The Blue.

And "A Symphony by the Electric Light Orchestra" should not be shown as part of the album title. The album is called Eldorado.

By all rights, I should like this one more that I do. Everything Romanelli says is spot on, and I’d probably rave about this album if there was no New World Record. But New World Record is just so perfect, I can’t think of Eldorado being in the same class.

This is one of my favorit ELO-albums!
But the origin idea of ELO was to combine Rock an Classic with musicians who are able to play Rockmusic with classical instruments. Eldorado was the first ELO-album with an extern orchestra. Lynne had Problems with the recording because these musicians had no interest in ELO. They only worked "from nine to five".
It was nearly impossible to play his Album live.
