Thanks for the links. That was an interesting read. I guess I can see why this was a challenging listen in the early 1900s but I had no problems with it at all. I haven't listened to much classical music in my time....my 21 year old son has probably heard more than me. He has heard this piece before (probably not this recording) and listened to it again with me. It provoked a great conversation about classical music and different composers etc. Anyway he agrees it's a great work. Thanks for suggesting it. I really did enjpy the whole thing, time flew by as it kept my interest the whole time. I would happily listen to this again. 8/10.

There were a couple good tracks and this was technically pretty skillful, but I wasn't very impressed. The vocals weren't my thing, and the whole thing felt a bit overwrought and self-important. It wasn't bad, but my desire to listen again is zero. A couple years ago one of my friends said while listening to "Feeling Good" by Nina Simone that Muse did it better. This was my first time hearing that cover and... 🧱🤣
I'll give this a high 2.5/5.

As I listen to the new Flying Lotus album, I just realized about this record.
It might be due to being an American but I want to say half of the album isn't available for me. Doesn't show up on Youtube or I Tunes. So Pash like the incident that happened with Jay Z, you can pick a personal favorite that isn't on this top 100 list.

I got to thank Bay for the assistance to getting me a copy of the album since on Youtube, it is copyrighted.
But I also have to thank Pash for giving this album. Because this album is for the most part wonderful. If I was to complain, maybe a few parts don't work for me. Otherwise this is a strange record where it takes cues from other genres but makes it into it's own. Like through the majority of this album, I was somewhat dumbfounded by it by the genre shifts or how each songs was really tight. Like I want to listen to this again hopefully real soon. As well as shaking up this list. Grade wise it is a 95 but could be a 100 with future listens. And rank wise, I would have it above Vespertine but below Endless Summer.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this album. Definitely the best thing I've ever heard by Coldplay. Much of it is gorgeous and dreamy. Unfortunately, it's a bit front-loaded and runs out of steam. 3.5/5.

After coming back from a long day of work, I listen to this album again after a few months and my thoughts have stayed the same. I do believe this is an excellent album within the ambient/drone genre. Using organic instrumentation and stretching it out to give it a drone quality. And while I don't hold this as a top 10 contender for the genre. Gas's Pop to me is that high standard. There is definitely something special to this album and can perfectly understand why this is a favorite for a lot of people. Including me. It's just not the cream of the crop.

This one was good, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. Hearing a young Mos Def is cool, and it bears the hallmarks of the other "Native Tongues" groups that came before them, but it does not reach the heights of a De la Soul or ATCQ release.
Luigii, I'd like to pick a few on their, but I'll go with the unfortunately titled 'It's A Wonderful Life' by Sparklehorse.
