Without this album there would have been no Tommy or The Wall.
Is it as good as those two? Probably not.
And the story isn't as clear from the lyrics, they added narration in between tracks on the few times the performed it live (Arthur Brown on one occasion, no less!)
But it's still worth a listen. It was an original and daring idea.
One of the first concept albums.
Is it a complete success? I think not. But it's not half bad.
It's groovy and psychedelic and all good things 60's. So it still gets my vote as worth a listen.
There are some tracks I really like on this album that I wish I could hear in mono. The hard panning in the stereo mix of “Bracelets of Fingers” is frustrating.
