This album saved my life!!!
Ok it changed it.
Whatever, it's a brilliant album.
And it doesn't even have the mighty Some Candy Talking on it but it's still sublime.

I've never gotten this album, to be perfectly honest. It hurts my ears, for one thing. Far too much treble in the mix and not enough bass; I don't mind noise rock, but it just feels like too much. The other thing that turns me off is that when you strip the noise away, the songwriting is kind of boring. Simplistic, yes, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Plenty of punk bands write very simple songs. No, for me this is just boring. I think it's a combination of the simplicity with them not being very good performers. The vocal delivery feels very disinterested.

But, please, if anyone wants to try and change my mind, go ahead. I'm always happy to re-evaluate an opinion.

It's supposed to be too much and it's supposed to hurt your ears. Check out their debut single "upside down". Perfect. Though I was too young to get this at time of release, like Stover, they did kind of change my life a little later on. Anyways, all this songwriting lark is boring, how about some feeling instead?

Have you tried their second album? Different sound and you might like it better:
