Never been a massive Green Day fan but this is a decent enough album.

I've not really explored the Green Day catalogue but this was briefly the most important album in the world in the mid 90s (well, to a lot of us anyway). Great energy, tunes, humour and no messing around. Hard to overstate how refreshing it was at the time (after Grunge etc) and I'd say it defines that era of mid 90s alternative rock better than any other album.

Loved this when it came out, just like everyone else, but time has not been kind to this album or really to any of Green Day's music really. It's fine, but nothing amazing.

Well put together video. Interesting how it described the transition from raw and uncompromising punk to something totally accessable and pop with Dookie. Nice how it details the rich underground scene that preceded this album too. Thanks for posting Gowi!

I love the fast-paced nature of this record, really sets it apart from Green day's later sound
