I'm not huge fan of Green Day, but I actually really like this. I feel like Green Day brought the most out of themselves off this release "Longview", "Welcome to Paradise", "Basket Case", 'When I come Around" are such punk classics, and the rest is at least good, if not great. It feels like it has such energy, and tight instrumentation, it's honestly really impressive. I think my only gripe with this album is that after 'When I Come Around", it really does dip in quality, but at least most of the songs are short. It's fun, energetic, well produced, and it's my favorite Green Day album.

An all around essential punk record. Every track on here has a great energy to them that would set the tone for Green Day's career.

It's a good album but not as good as it's position on the All-Time Greatest chart would have you believe. The hidden track at the end is a bit random.

This is the only Green Day album I truly love (or even like, for that matter). It's a pretty seminal work. My biggest criticism is that the singles stand head and shoulders above most of the album tracks.

2nd best Green Day album just behind American Idiot, this is still a super solid record that lacks a little on its second half.

Only recently got this album after hearing American Idiot (which I thought was great and full of life). This album - although not as strong as Idiot is also full of fun with some cracking little songs in there. I never realised that there are 10 years between these two albums, but the vibe and energy is the same.
I know they get classed as Punk but they are probably too musical and fun to be true punk rock like The Sex Pistols, but more a nod to The Clash musically (although still much more fun).
Best tracks for me are "Welcome to Paradise"; "Basket Case"; "In The End" and "FOD/All By Myself"
