An absolutely spell-binding and evocative collection of songs. As someone who once lived in the Great Lakes State, this record truly captures the feeling of being in Michigan. It's punishingly isolating at times, equally beautiful and neighborly in others. It's chaotic and rich, full of history and culture, while always feeling familiar and worn.
