(I'm not 100% sure what to think of this one yet, I think it's pretty decent, but fans of King of Limbs-era Radiohead might dig it even more)
It's also interesting that Lenker has released Instrumentals as a separate "album," even though they feel incredibly entwined. They're all part of the same session, coming out of the same meditations and ruminations. The LP has them as separate discs of the same "album," which is far more appropriate in my opinion as a way of organizing the music.
Make sure to listen to Instrumentals also, it's equally beautiful.

No, i misspoke. Lille - Tourcoing is only a short bus ride. I recently discovered that the mix as been posted on Souncloud here. It is quite good, especially the closing track.

I am listening to it right now and there are some good tracks on here, even thought like the previous two albums it doesn't feel like a Gorillaz album. I wonder why Damon Albarn continues doing music under the Gorillaz name, because you can discernably hear how he doesn't care for the concept anymore. On here it feels like an excuse to make music with its mate (that is ,apparently, the entire music industry :shock:), which is cool, but i miss the Gorillaz that really felt like an actual band with all the lore and visuals. The cover art is even ugly, which is really weird for a Gorillaz album.

Disagree. This is my album of the year with MTBMB, I thought it was incredible, only one weak song but that is still above average imo. _________________ My Top 100 :

Not really cared for a gorillaz record since 2010 and even that was because plastic beach was the avengers of my favs at the time. Lots of "Oh shit, Lou Reed's here? Damn is that Mark E Smith? Mos Def AND Little Dragon!" moments for me.
That one Vince Staples song off of their return record goes though.

In addition to all the credited extra vocalists on many of the songs, Mick Jones & Paul Simonon also perform on a track (they're in the liner notes but the track name doesn't say "featuring...").
I wasn't impressed with the new album.
On another note, I just picked up A Letter to You, I'm excited to get into it. I loved Western Stars last year, and I'm excited Bruce recorded another with the E St Band.

Yeah I think they toured with Damon for the plastic beach live show too which is pretty cool
