Still unsure as to why the reception to this everywhere was so cold - less than 3 stars on RYM, one of the only two I available reviews I could find said it was "just for the completists" (without specifying who exactly those "completists" are), and the other, friendlier review still complained that it was "missing standout tracks" - but it's one of my favourite electronic albums of the psst few years, an album of warm, analogue glitchiness with an off-kilter sense of melody, one which never feels academic or or delicate. These are bleeps and bloops (and bangs, clatters, chimes, scratches) with a big heart. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
