A haunting set of songs, it will only get better with more listens. I really hope they continue to make music together, as this is way too good to be a one off. Bite The Hand is probably my favorite song of the year, and the EP overall is definitely my favorite release.
Gets better with every listen. A full length would have been great, but somehow this is incredibly satisfying as is.

This super group comprising best bud's Julien Baker ('Sprained Ankle' 2015 / 'Turn Out the Lights 2017) and Phoebe Bridgers ('Stranger In The Alps' 2017) plus also Lucy Dacus ('No Burden' 2016 / 'Historian' 2018 ) has produced a short but sweet album that is amongst 2018's best
Make no mistake this is a Phoebe Bridgers album - her DNA is all over boygenius as many tracks sound like they could have appeared on her previous album

If this were just a few songs longer, it would be a genuine contender for album of the year. As it stands, it'll have to settle for EP of the year.
Wow! This is going to have a lasting impression on me. One of my greatest 2018. One of few kicks this year...
