"Beneath the Eyrie" (the most recent one) isn't so bad. "Head Carrier" was the big disappointment, if you ask me...
I actually liked "Bossanova" better than "Doolittle," though I guess I can understand why the latter gets rated higher by most people. "Bossanova" is more of a sentimental favorite really, though I'm not sure why that is... it's not like I've ever actually danced a bossanova. Or even a tango, for that matter. I'm not really into dancing, to be honest.
My favorite track on "Doolittle" is probably "There Goes My Gun," though they're all just about equally good in my estimation. The "Phase I" Pixies albums were all very cohesive — not much filler, if any, to be found on them.

This is an ideal time for this one to be Album of the Day because I've been enjoying it a lot for the past few weeks. Doolittle is one of the most influential records of all time. A lot of the 90s alt rock bands lifted stuff from it. Very cool album, so aggressive at times yet so poppy and catchy almost always.

the first time I heard Debaser, then the rest of the album, I knew I wasn't the only crazy one out there. Totally life-changing album for me.
I was 18.
It was a big deal.
